If you are not the owner of the vehicle you are obtaining duplicate Stickers/Plates for, you must have an Application for Duplicate Stickers/Plates completed and signed by the owner. You will also need to provide us with some basic vehicle information such as the license plate number and VIN. To apply for duplicate Stickers/Plates, you will need to be the vehicle owner and bring in your Driver’s License/ID. Common reasons that Stickers/Plates may need to be replaced are if they are: Lost, Stolen, Destroyed or Not Received. If you have already purchased Minnesota Registration Stickers or License Plates and for any reason need them replaced, you will need to visit any License Center to obtain duplicates.
